Summer is near

With summer almost fully upon us, the kids decided to make the most of everyday.

Date night @ the movies

Me and mom decided to skip the food this time and head straight to the movies. We ended up watching Gravity with Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

Seeking God High Up

Every Friday morning @ 5AM I enjoy this view from the mountain where I go and pray and seek God. Just being away from the noise and distractions allows me to take in so much more.

Daddy I want to ride horsie

Michaela has fallen in love with horses and riding them... Ever since we got back from Edens Touch, its all she wanted to do, so being the awesome dad I am, I took her for a horse ride. She even got to milk a cow afterwards.

Micah was napping most of the time but when she woke up the rabbits and ducks had no rest.

Sept 2013 Holiday - Day 3

Day three we decided to "Be touched by a Elephant" at the Knysna Elephant Park. What an AWESSSSSSSOMMMMMMME experience it was.

Sept 2013 Holiday - Day 2

Day 2 of our holiday we decided to turn right to Knysna. We ended up on doing a boat trip into the Knysna heads.

After the boat trip we headed over to the Garden of Eden.

After all that it was back to base where mom felt like chilling at the pool and making a braai.

Sept 2013 Holiday - Day 1

Day 1 started of with Michaela and Micah finding a grasshoper on the porch... 

The best part of Edens Touch is that you right in the middle of Plet (left) & Knysna (right). So we decided to go left and hit the beach @ Plet - fun in the son :) Micah ended up eating half of the sea sand that day.

                       

 

And the result of all that fun in the son caused them to fall asleep on our way back to Edens Touch. 

They ended up sleeping from 5PM till 7AM the next day. What did me and mom do? ummm, ummmm :)

Off to Edens Touch

This year we decided to try out a new holiday spot called Edens Touch (just between Knysna & Plet). We left the Sunday morning and as usual when travelling up to the Western Cape's side we made a Pit Stop @ Storms.

This place is literally in the middle of the Garden of Eden, surrounded by tree's and the sound of birds singing songs all day long.

Happy birthday to mommy

This year mommy's birthday was on a Saturday, and what a day it was... it just so happened that Bayworld re-opened on the same day, and that's where the day started.

Michaela even got her face painted...

After Bayworld it was back home to get the kids bathed. We then left them with Luceen's mom and the birthday celebrations continued... Of to Sticky Fingers in Stanley Street we went.

On our ay home from Sticky Fingers we drove pass the Helenic Hall and saw a wedding being held there, we decided to go check it out and so we did - wedding crashers :)

My husband turns 31

This year mom started celebrating my bday few days before the time already (thats her taking me to Ocean Basket the Tuesday already, bday was only the Friday)... Did not manage to take pics of the rest of the celebrations, but my wife sure does know how to spoil me.

Something that really got to me this year was the array of ways people wish you nowadays, from sms, to Whatsapp, to social media, to email... But the best for me is still being wished in person or a phone call if distance does not allow.

However, someone sent me a voice recording of them singing "He's 31 today" - the best bday wish I have ever received cause I can listen to it over and over. Will try and upload it here soon.

Veggies are good for me

Micah just loves veggies... more mummy, more.

Micah changes classes

Today was Micahs first day in her new class, that's Meme and Bernie saying goodbye to her (she's been in there class since she started school at 3months), o how much they love her.

They even taught her how to not walk when the principal is around as that is the deciding factor in moving classes :) So oneday when I came to fetch her she got up and came walking to me only to realize the principal behind me and she suddenly sat down.

Will let you know later how the first day of her new class went.
