I got your back

Many times I look at the things Malachi does without even realizing that I am right behind him should he stumble or fall.

Like just the other day as he was learning to climb the stairs at my mother's house I stood patiently behind him so that if he fell I could catch him and prevent him from getting hurt.

Which reminded me of a verse in the bible:
Psalm 37:23-24 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.

How sometimes we forget that God himself is always there for us during the good and bad times, when life makes sense or when nothing is working out. He remains a GOOD LOVING CARING MERCIFUL FORGIVING AWESOME GOD AND FATHER.

How far is too far?

Many times I wonder how far can one go before its too far from the reach of God? Is there a point of no return?

Then I think of my kids and the fact that no matter what they do, yes I might be upset or disappointed, but the minute they say Dad I'm sorry I will immediately forgive them and help them not do it again... I mean Michaela cries at times when she realizes what she done was wrong.

In the same way God is a forgiving and mercifull God. It so evident in the story of the Prodical Son who consciously asked for his inheritance and went to a far off country to live in sin and spend all he had... and then oneday he "came to his senses" and returned back home. His father was over whelmed to see the son return... He did not even give him a chance to say sorry or explain first, he just accepted him as he was.

So to we are never to far to return to the calling/purpose God has for our lives.

Malachi turns 1week

Today Malachi turned one week old... He definitely fits right into our home.

It just made me realize once again how loved we are by our heavenly father, cause even thou he cries at night and make dirty nappies we still love him so much... there's nothing special he needs to do to make us love him, we just do.

In the same way God loves us regardless of what we do or don't do, He's just a loving father and loves us unconditionally as Jeremiah 31v3 clearly states:

Long ago the Lord said to Israel:
“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
    With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.

Or how about the way The Message puts it:

God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will.
    Expect love, love, and more love!

Then Romans just seals the deal by saying:

Romans 8:38-39 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

So Malachi and Micah and Michaela know this, that you are loved by Dad, Mom and God. And even you reading this, nothing can separate you from the love of God.

Our walk with God

Every once a week I take my two girls for a walk to the shop around the corner to go buy Apple Munch. I so much enjoy the walk to the shop and back with them as it gives me time to connect and be together with them, we talk about how there day was, they balance on the stones along the way, chase butterflies, etc.

Until recently Michaela figured out that Ma Cathy (Luceens mom) also has Apple Munch in her fridge. When I wanted to take a walk with them again she said but we don't need to because Ma Cathy has Apple Munch in her fridge.

If only she knew realised it was not so much about the Apple Munch but about the time spent together (the walk), the bond being created.

So many times in our Christian walk with God we forget the goal is not just heaven but enjoying the walk/journey as we live our everyday life. Enjoying the narrow path that eventually leads to eternal life.

To God we all matter (big or small)

Whenever I look at my kids I think of the verse where Jesus said hinder them not from coming to him:

Matthew 19v14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Seeking God High Up

Every Friday morning @ 5AM I enjoy this view from the mountain where I go and pray and seek God. Just being away from the noise and distractions allows me to take in so much more.
