Oh what fun the girls and there Cuzins had at Tamzins 5th bday party.

Michaela turns 6

Today Michaela turned 6 years old... how time has swooshed by, just the other day she was crawling.

She came running down the passage at 6AM shouting "I am the birthday girl, I am the birthday girl" :)

So for her bday, dad took half day at work and fetched her from school at 12:30. She then said she wanted Mc Donalds and to go to the beach. We eventually ended up playing games at the boardwalk and having ice cream.

Later the night, we all went to Spur and they sang for her.

I thank God for you everyday Michaela. Don't let the world make you a copy, cause God definitely made you very unique my girl.

An eventfull month

What an eventfull month this has been... from moving house to dad turning 33.

August 2015 has truly been a roller coaster of a month.

1. Moved out of 45 Koen Crescent
2. Micah turned 3 years old
3. Malachi turned 3months old
4. My aunt Vera died and was buried
5. Dad turned 33 years old

Did I even mention the first 4 events all happened on the same day... yes moving, bdays and funeral in one day.

Thru it all God allowed it all to go smooth even though at times I did doubt and try and do it in my own strength. His ways ate not our ways the bible says.

Michaela turns 4

On the 25 Feb 2014 Michaela turned 4yrs, mom and I took half day and had lotsa fun with her and Micah.

Happy birthday to mommy

This year mommy's birthday was on a Saturday, and what a day it was... it just so happened that Bayworld re-opened on the same day, and that's where the day started.

Michaela even got her face painted...

After Bayworld it was back home to get the kids bathed. We then left them with Luceen's mom and the birthday celebrations continued... Of to Sticky Fingers in Stanley Street we went.

On our ay home from Sticky Fingers we drove pass the Helenic Hall and saw a wedding being held there, we decided to go check it out and so we did - wedding crashers :)

My husband turns 31

This year mom started celebrating my bday few days before the time already (thats her taking me to Ocean Basket the Tuesday already, bday was only the Friday)... Did not manage to take pics of the rest of the celebrations, but my wife sure does know how to spoil me.

Something that really got to me this year was the array of ways people wish you nowadays, from sms, to Whatsapp, to social media, to email... But the best for me is still being wished in person or a phone call if distance does not allow.

However, someone sent me a voice recording of them singing "He's 31 today" - the best bday wish I have ever received cause I can listen to it over and over. Will try and upload it here soon.

Micah turns 1

Happy Birthday Michaela

We celebrated Michaela's 3rd birthday in Stellenbosch.

We decided to get her a 7" Tablet for he birthday and of course a talking doll (she practically told mom she want's it for her birthday when we stopped at Reggies in George - how could we say no?).

She took to the Tablet like dad to food :)

Outvoted by the girls...

Even thou dad wanted to go to Ocean Basket for his birthday, the girls (mommy and Michaela) decided Spur would be a better option. Hopefully Micah will side with me someday :)

Dad turns 30 today

2. Mom still alive, dad passed away at age of 21
3. Proud father/husband of two beautiful girls, a even more beautiful wife and a Labrador dog

6. Works as a software developer/architect

8. Weighs 76.5kg
9. And loves eating (pasta's, seafood and egg bread)
